Become a Governor

Every NSAT academy has its own local governing body.  Governors play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of each academy and providing a vital link between school and community.

You must be over 18 to become a governor.  You do not need to be parent.

 

Volunteering as a governor can be a rewarding experience. As a governor:
  • you have an opportunity to support children and young people in your local area.
  • You can build relationships and networks in the community.
  • You can develop valuable skills and experience which can support your own career.

Applying to become a governor is easy.  We will ask you to complete a short application form and meet the Chair of Governors and Trust governance team to discuss why you would like to be become a governor.

If appointed as a governor, you must agree to a criminal records check.
